Why I’m Quitting Social Automation

Or, why automation is like sending out a robot to tell the world shit cuz you won’t be available at the perfect time to tell said shit.

“Virtual reality, virtual bullshit” — Andre 3000, “Synthesizer” on Acquemini

I have lots of ideas, thoughts, pontifications, plans, whatever. It’s silly to do anything but unleash it as it comes.

I find automation inauthentic.

Further, this fascination into chat bots is cool, but I don’t know. Creativity is sacred — hijacking the delivery of it, ordesigning some creative AI feels cheap.

Maybe one day we can design an AI to be a DaVinci of its people. Maybe that’s truly the pinnacle of the human existence — improving on the template given to us by the universe or whatever higher power you ascribe to.

It may also be dangerous. Like Icarus, we must be careful not to fly too close to the Sun, lest we burn and die.

This is the shit I think about. I’m going to edit this quickly and post it right now. It’s 4:25 on Sunday and I’m sad I missed 4:20 because I’m certainly going to go recreate.
